        About Us

Our story began in the village of Knowlton, Quebec, when a man named Mike Wiesel, and his lovely wife, Mary Pallett, became the proud parents of two darling daughters. Both Mike and Mary, soapmakers and crafters extraordinaire, were thrilled to pass on their life experience to their children. They believed the best way to do this was hands on, of course. Together, the girls and their parents made playdough from scratch, learned how to crack eggs without pieces of shell falling into the bowl, and even tried their hand at making lip balm from a kit. When the parents’ backs were turned for only a moment, their younger daughter, only two at the time, began eating the recently-made tube of lip balm. Horrified, Mary quickly scooped the goop from her daughter’s mouth and checked the ingredient listing on the back of the box. What were these ingredients? Why were there so many chemical names?

Mike, who had mastered the art of soap formulating, decided then and there that something must be done. He quickly put his talents to work and formulated a safe, non-toxic, paraben-free, synthetic dye-free, all-natural lip balm using simple, 100% natural ingredients. The process, from start to finish, was so easy that Mike and Mary decided to start selling the do-it-yourself Lip Balm kits in their country store, which they’d purchased prior to starting a family. The kits flew off the shelves in record time.

Seeing how popular the craft kits were becoming, Mike and Mary decided it was time to start creating other make-it-yourself items to compliment the DIY Lip Balm Kits. So, they introduced DIY Bath Fizzies, DIY Glycerin Soap, and DIY Lip Gloss. The kits continued to sell out. In 2008, after several years of working to meet the constantly increasing demand for natural body care kits, Kiss Naturals was born. Over the next decade, children from all over the US, Canada, Mexico, and Australia would enjoy the Kiss Naturals DIY experience.

Now, Kiss Naturals is on a mission to help even more children. With every purchase made on this website, $1 from each kit will benefit a charity listed on our Charities page. We strongly believe that sharing is caring and that nature got it right the first time. As our slogan says, “Live Natural. Play Natural.”

Fast forward to 2020, we decided to launch our sister line for adults called Earthy Good. Why did we decide to create Earthy Good? As it turns out, parents, teachers and adults of all ages enjoy crafting just as much as kids, thus Earthy Good was born! Earthy Good's mission is to empower individuals who are passionate about natural body care. We not only supply you with natural and organic ingredients, but also encourage you to experiment and customize body care products in the comfort of your own home. Each kit provides enough materials to make organic body products for you and your friends because we believe sharing is caring. We've also included a reusable furoshiki wrapping cloth inside each kit, making this an all-in-one low-waste gift item.

We are vegan friendly, made in Canada, 100% natural and organic, and we are always striving to reduce the amount of plastic waste in packaging! Most of all, our kits give you a chance to slow down and learn how easy and fun it can be to make safe and natural products from very few high quality ingredients. Our two sister brands have partnered together to continue our charitable efforts by donating to causes that are near and dear to our hearts.
